Lori Jones - Founder, Owner, and Instructor
Paddalini, aka 1 Bay At A Time, was founded in 2014 in San Diego, CA.
Lori Jones has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2002 after completing the Kundalini Research Foundation (KRI) approved Master Touch Teacher Training with the Kundalini Yoga master, Yogi Bhajan in New Mexico. In 2010, she became recertified with the KRI training with Guru Meher and Meherbani in Encinitas.
Then in March 2014, Lori became a Certified Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga Instructor by the Floating Yogis in Carlsbad, CA. This is all thanks to her dear friend Anna, who is also a yoga teacher, when she took Lori out for a SUP Yoga class on a paddleboard and she realized how much she loved the meditative feeling and just how connected she felt with nature.
Since2014, Lori has been teaching Kundalini Yoga on a Paddleboard which she has since renamed her practice to be called Paddalini. Lori and one other locally trained SUP Yoga Instructor became the first organizers and co-founders of the San Diego SUP Yoga Meetup https://www.meetup.com/San-Diego-SUP-Yoga-Meetup/ with more than 1,100 members.
In 2018, Lori wanted to share her passion for SUP Yoga as well as the importance of paddleboard safety so she began organizing SUP Yoga Teacher Trainings locally in San Diego. She formed a diverse team of experienced yoga, SUP yoga, water fitness and water safety instructors with different teaching styles to offer the safest, serene, and practical SUP Yoga Teacher Training Courses.
Lori loves teaching about the tattvas, the elements in our bodies, and all matter: earth, water, fire, air, and ether, while experiencing these amazing natural elements in the San Diego Bay. These five tattvas determine our altitude and attitude in our life. Lori feels blessed beyond measure to have the elevating teachings of Kundalini yoga and meditation to share on a paddleboard.
